Cynthia Kroll, the Senior Regional Economist at the Fisher Center for Real Estate and Urban Economics, at U.C. Berkeley was the keynote speaker for Silvar today. The driving force of Kroll’s message was simple: Median home prices remain lofty due to the fact that Silicon Valley high priced properties are selling. Lower priced properties are not selling and this is what makes median prices lofty.
Included in today’s meeting was Indy Bank’s Celeste Martino’s Fianance Update; as Celeste pointed out, mortgage rates are moving upward for the moment. Now may be a good time to lock in a favorable rate.
Also announced was a hearty congratulations to Brian Crane, Intero Real Estate, was the winner of the $500.00 Progressive Lottery on May 23.
